Buttoned Eyelet Cowl Pattern
You will need:
60-100 yards bulky weight yarn (I used Rainbow Classic’s Bright Multi Rainbow Classic)
Size 11 knitting needles
3 1/2″ to 3/4″ buttons (I used 1/2″, but should have used larger.)
Embroidery thread and needle
Gauge is 8 stitches and 10 rows = 2 inches
Cast on 18 stitches
Row 1: Slip first stitch, yo k2tog to the end k1.
Row 2: Slip first stitch, knit all stitches.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until piece measures 24″ or desired length. Do garter stitch for 2″. Bind off stitches loosely. Weave in ends. Block if desired. Sew buttons on garter stitching edge. Enjoy! and God bless you! 🙂

Thank you for the patternM. Had about 60 yards of some bulky yarn and a snowy afternoon to make this perfect project!
